We, VIVE and Aarhus University, are very happy to have received 7,8 mio. kr. from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to carry out our project “Lasting impact of large-scale science education initiatives”. The project is with Ulrik Hvidman and I from VIVE, and Simon Calmar Andersen, Alexander Koch, and Kristoffer Ibsen from Aarhus University.
In the project, we will work closely with LIFE to try to enhance the impact of their many science education initiatives for the benefit of Danish school children. Recent research has shown that the effects of educational activities often fade out after the intervention and when implemented at large scale. The aim of our research project is, therefore, to improve scientists’ and practitioners’ understanding of how to successfully implement science education with lasting impacts at scale.
I’m looking very much forward to work with LIFE and the researcher dream team from VIVE and Aarhus University!
